Hue is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to Vietnam. Straddling the Perfume River, this mysterious, somber city is a historian s dream come true, with numerous 19th century ruins, royal tombs and an excellent museum. The Imperial City of Hue was the capital of Vietnam during the reign of the Nguyen dynasty, the last dynasty in Vietnam.

Itinerary in Detail :

7.00 am, Our guide will meet you at hotel and depart to Hue city; on the way stop for seeing Non Nuoc stone carving village, where the local skillful sculptors create many marble products which are exported to many countries worldwide. Visit the Cham museum where displays approximately 300 sculptures, among which some are made from terracotta from the period between the 5th and 15th. We drive across the spectacular Hai Van pass and the scenic fishing village of Lang Co. Have lunch at a local garden in Hue.

We start with a visit the Imperial Citadel, which is a walled fortress and was intended to be a copy of Chinese Emperors’ Forbidden City in Beijing, China. After access the Ngo Mon Gate, we will take in the Purple Forbidden City. The Forbbiden City was reserved for the Nguyen royal family from the 18th century until the mid-1900s. Unfortunately, American bombing in 1968 in response to a communist takeover of Hue flattened most of the city. As we can see, only a few buildings are survived such as the Thai Hoa Temple, Can Thanh Temple, The Mieu, and Hieu Lam Cac, but all the remains make a well worth visit.Leave the Imperial Citadel we drive along the bank of Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda.

Here we visit the 7-storey octagonal tower, a symbol of Hue. Afterwards, we transfer back to Hoi An.

This tour is a must-see for those who are interested in architecture and ancient civilizations. My Son sanctuary was an imperial city during the Champa dynasty, between the 4th and the 12th centuries.

Itinerary in Detail :

We travel about 50km from Hoi An to My Son sanctuary. It comprises many Champa temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It was the site of religious ceremony of kings of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place of Champa royals and national heroes. The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost temple complexes of Hinduism in South East Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. Though the complex has been destroyed over time, we still see many majestic ancient ruins of temples in the area. We also spend time to visit a silk handicraft village along the Thu Bon River on the way back to Hoi An.

The Marble Mountains, also referred to as Ngu Hanh Son or Mountains of the Five Elements, consist of five marble mountains: Thuy Son (water) which is the highest, Moc Son (wood), Kim Son (metal), Tho Son (soil), and Hoa Son (fire). The Marble Mountains are famous for their traditional stonemasonry activities. In Dong Hai village close to Thuy Son, 600 families chisel stone statues, jewelry, and art work. Stone from the Marble Mountains has been exported to many countries.

The Cham Museum was built in 1915 with the financial support of the French Far-East Research Institute in Vietnam. At present, the museum displays approximately 300 sculptures, among which some are made from terracotta from the period between the 5th and 15th centuries. The works were collected from Cham temples and towers throughout Central Vietnam, more specifically the area stretching from Quang Binh to Binh Thuan. All the sculptures are displayed in ten showrooms named after where the pieces were discovered.

CHAM ISLAND SNORKELLING (HALF DAY)

Cu Lao Cham is a large island consists of several small islands distance 25 nautical miles off the coast from Hoi An. At the summer, if guests reaches for the island by normal boat, it takes 2 and half hour, but only 30 minutes by speed boat. There are seven islands altogether named according to their shape or characteristics. They are called Lao (pear), Dai (long), La (leaf), Kho (dry), Tai (ear), Mo (tomb), and Nom (East wind). They have a good climate, always cool the year round, and trees and animals are plentiful here, as well as marine life. On the island there are precious bird nests while under the water, the coral is marvelous. And surrounding the island are very nice beaches with clean white sand and transparent, cool water

EXPLORING TRA QUE VEGETABLE VILLAGE (HALF DAY)

Tra Que is a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An, the village is famous for its sweet scented & green vegetables that spice up on the daily meals of Hoi An people: Cao Lau and Quang noodles. Come here, you will have a chance to discover the art of cultivating and water plants, tasting and doing a cooking class with local dishes prepared by host.

Itinerary in Detail :

Depart at your hotel at 9:00 am, you will ride by bicycle to Tra Que Vegetable Village, experience a day of living and working with the local farmers in this village. A tour of the organic vegetable and herb gardens can include some time working in the field if you like, or merely observing and learning about the system and the fresh ingredients. Upon returning to the house, we were all treated to an herbal foot massage followed by a session of cooking various local dishes als such as : Tam Huu Spring Roll, Banh Xeo or the local pancake of the people from the middle region. Biking back to your hotel, ends of tour.

Other recommendation:If you don’t want to go back the hotel. You can spend more time for relax at An Bang Beach that is not far from the village, about 2km to the east of Hoi An Town. The beach is over 3 km in length and up to 300m in width. The beach boasts fine white sand, clear and blue water, moderate slopes and small waves, which make it ideal for recreational activities like swimming and enjoy cheap sea food (your own taxi if you want to drop here).
